Privacy policy · OSS & IOSS VAT Report ‑ LG
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains which data the OSS & IOSS VAT Report ‑ LG app for Shopify (the “app”) processes. The app reads the store’s orders and refunds and calculates the figures of the EU OSS and IOSS VAT returns, which the merchant can review and export. The app does not file any return and does not give tax advice.

2. Order data
The app copies from Shopify, for each order since 1 January of the previous year, only what the VAT report needs: order number and date, currency, destination and billing country, payment and test status, tags, and the amounts, taxes and VAT rates of the items, shipping and refunds. It also reads whether the customer is tax exempt or has a VAT number validated by the LG VIES or LG e-Invoice EU apps, to leave business sales out of the report.
The app does not store customer names, addresses, emails, phone numbers or any other personal data of the store’s customers. Customer data requests and erasure requests (customers/data_request, customers/redact) are therefore answered with no data to return or delete.
3. Data about the merchant
- The store’s domain and the Shopify access session needed to run the app.
- The details the merchant enters for the return: Member State of identification, legal name, VAT and tax numbers, IOSS number, shipping country and calculation settings.
- The periods marked as filed, with the VAT per country, so that later corrections can be calculated.
- The plan and the state of the subscription.
4. Purpose, legal basis and retention
Data is used solely to provide the app, on the basis of the contract with the merchant. It is kept while the app is installed. When the app is uninstalled, Shopify notifies us and 48 hours later all the store’s data is deleted (shop/redact): export your reports before uninstalling. Exchange rates are public data of the European Central Bank.
5. Hosting and recipients
The app and its data are hosted in the European Union. The only recipient is Shopify, the platform the store runs on. The app downloads the exchange rates from the European Central Bank without sending any data. It does not send anything to any tax authority. Data is never sold, shared for commercial purposes or used to train artificial intelligence models.
6. Your rights

You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or your local supervisory authority.
